    Raw Dice Are a Project

Posted by Melissa on Jul 4th 2022

I was uncertain about getting Raw dice, but I had some free-time over the last month and have just used my downtime to polish them up while watching TV or something. My set does have an imbalance of black more than orange. Like they are majority black with a little bit of orange on most die. But the ones I've gotten through polishing so far have turned out pretty nice. So -1 star just for the overabundance of black vs the orange.

    This is Halloween dice

They are beautiful dice got to polish them up. Even raw they roll great. I love the swirls of color that have. Definitely Halloween baby approved. And great to add to a spooky dice pallet.

I really like the colour combination on this clicky-clack rolling pebbles. More dice to the ever growing collection over 35 years!

    Good lookin' dice, poor mix

Posted by Rocky on Nov 10th 2020

As much as i love the halloween spirit in these dice, the colours were not too great. Had mostly black so i have a d20 which is a black glittery boi now.

    Beautiful!

This set is absolutely beautiful. The orange is pretty dark, but when held up in a bright room or other light source the color really comes through.

    Halloween Dice

So so so pretty! Not rolling so hot after the last session but the aesthetic is on point and they were really fun to ink!

    Bad Color Mix

Posted by Mikayla Powell on Oct 28th 2020

Color mix was pretty sad on this set. I had a lot of orange and just a little bits of black.

Good set. An improvement rover previous RAW releases.

Posted by Chase Bobier on Oct 16th 2020

I was very pleased when I received this set of dice. The colors play very nicely, and the shimmer in the transparent amber sections really just give me the fizz. If I am correct this is a different mold than what was used for the Gummi and Copper River RAW releases. An improved mold I might say. An issue I had with the Gummi and Copper River sets were that some of the numbers on the D20’s (the 9’s, 19’s, and 3’s, to be precise) were very shallow, and were actually partially erased through my polishing process. Now, for the only issue I have with this set. And it extends to other sets I purchased with the 2020 Halloween release. Is that the faces on the D6’s are concave. I polish with Zona papers on a glass backing for optimum flatness on the faces of my dice, and this has made the concavity of the faces quite apparent. It isn’t a massive issue, but it is one that I will have to take extra time to correct. I don’t know if the issue with the d6 faces is an issue with the molds being used in this run, or something to do with the particular resin mix or curing procedures. But I do hope that this will be fixed for the pRAWject series dice.

    Hit or miss

Posted by Brice on Oct 15th 2020

Half of the set I received was a great mix of black/yellow. However, there were a number of dice that were almost all yellow with a black blob where the ink was injected but didn't blend. Others seemed to have received better blended sets so it may be hit or miss.

    Very Halloween-y

    Posted by A.D. on Oct 14th 2020

Exactly what I wanted out of a set of Halloween-themed dice. The colors are true to the images on the website, the pour produced fun patterns, and I couldn't be happier. Also, there was a lot less work to do on these raw dice than I expected! Very happy.
