    Amazing Looking

They look great in person. Not quite as good as in the pictures, but I'm not sure that'll ever be the case. Feel very solid too.

    Very nice! But then again...

Posted by Rebecca Arcangeli on Dec 4th 2019

I find myself writing a second review because I have noticed, a few months after my purchase (because I only recently got the chance to use these dice more), that some of the numbers are poorly painted - as in, the paint is too thin and you can see the colour underneath - and there are some blotches of paint on the corners of the d20.
That, and they're not as red as they appear in the picture, so much that at first I thought I'd gotten the orange starfield dice. (And the numbers would look better painted in gold but that's neither here nor there since they're clearly displayed.)
This was my first Kraken purchase, so at first I didn't pay too close attention, but I've gotten factory rescue dice that were better off than these, which I got at full price. I had gotten them for a specific character, but I'll pass them off to another eventually as I got more fitting ones for him.
Don't get me wrong, despite everything they're great dice! Well balanced, numbers are easy to read, and all that, if a bit on the small side. And the purple starfield set I got more recently during sales is great (although on THAT set the numbers would look better in silver...). I'm just saying that, in hindsight and having bought a few more Kraken sets that look better than these despite being factory rescues I got for $2, I wouldn't have gotten these at full price. I don't regret getting them - just not waiting for sales.

Sorry for the long review, but I feel like it should be known that some of these sets might not be as great as they could have been, being mass produced and all. I think Kraken should pay more attention to the sets it sends out.

    Dice colour

Was dissapointed that the red doesn't really show that well. It looks more root beer.

    Very nice!

The set is just a bit smaller than I thought it'd be, but we're talking millimetres. I love them, they're as shiny and colourful as they are in the picture, and the first rolls I did with them in a new campaign were great!

    Starfield Dice

Posted by Colour is more Overbrewed Tea on Apr 25th 2019

Let me say first off, this is the first set of dice from Kraken I have not been pleased with. Secondly, I have the clear winter wonderland dice with gold and glitter and I absolutely love them. They are gorgeous, the glitter is equally distributed throughout the dice and they are wonderful. This set of dice is very much not that. They are definitely not red-much more of an orange tea color and the glitter is very much blotchy. Not the worst set of dice I’ve ever purchased but definitely not the best. Don’t think I would’ve purchased if I had seen them in person first.

Bought these for a red dragonborn character and they are PERFECT! They look almost like embers with the way they shine. So so so so in love

It`s closer to 3.5 for me personally, but the dice set wasn`t for me.

The pictures on the website definitely have been edited with the saturation and contrast upped. They look nice enough but they're more of a dull orange-brown with some yellow-ish glitter, I wouldn't say there's much red in them. Imagine a strongly-steeped tea color.
