Quantum Heat Reactive 14pc Dice Set for TTRPGs inked in Silver

I love these dice. Some of my favorite dice in fact! They don’t change color, but they really are beautiful!

I was really looking forward to showing off these dice and their heat reactive color change; but sadly there was hardly any color change at all. According to the pictures on the website, these are supposed to change from sparkly white with a few blue and purple when warm to sparkly swirls of blue and purple when cool. What I got was deep indigo after several minutes in the freezer to sparkly swirls of blue and purple when warm. The color change was barely noticeable, definitely nowhere near the obvious color change pictured online. I was very disappointed. What's left of a heat reactive color change dice set I bought over 20 years ago still has a more impressive color change then these.

While the base colors are still great, I can find no notable reaction from these, even when using a heat gun. If they can't just change with body heat then that differentiator is lost.

I love the color changing idea, although it's a little impractical for gameplaying :) However, this set is so beautiful, color changed or not. It is one of my favorite combination and so very very pretty.
