Planar Shift UV reactive color change Gold to Red

This is my second set from this series. I love the font style and the color is amazing. The D4 is also unique and the font is larger than the normal font.

Its nice, but it didnt changed colors as much as the photo shows. Still nice though but was underwelming.

In their gold state, these dice are pleasant to look at, but try as I might, I couldn't get them to appear Red. I tried leaving them in the sun, opening the window for even more UV, hell, I even took them outside with me while I was gardening, and I just couldn't see it. I finally buckled, and since we needed a blacklight for something else entirely, I put them under a blacklight. THAT got the Red out, and quickly, and it was gorgeous for all of 45-70 seconds out from under the blacklight before it returned to Gold. I don't know what these folks are doing where the color is "lasting a long time" but for me, it lasted long enough for a couple pictures to show a friend and then it was gone. Nifty trick, but troublesome to bring out, and certainly not likely to show up during a game, unless you game under a blacklight, in which case you still won't see it, because the color change isn't even apparent while it's under the light. Still, they're good dice, and I do like the new d4 design being less caltrop-y

These are pretty dice, but the color shift is far more subtle than I had hoped for.

I was curious in the beginning. Yes they are cool but the effect doesn't last long. granted I haven't rolled for a character yet; so I can't speak to that. The tiny dice are cool, but I have to deal with 5 cats so rolling them is choking hazard at the very least. I can't roll them with a great chance of losing them and have a very hard time finding them again (if I find them again).

The color of these dice almost exactly matches the honey from our hive. It's hard to find a gold set that is simple enough to be used in a lot of scenarios; these dice pull that off brilliantly. Throw in the color change and I wish I had an excuse to get more. Truly superb.

I think the color change on this isn't as drastic as I thought it would be but the golds are just beautiful.

The pictures don’t do them justice. The transition is gradual but stunning, well balanced on rolls and look great with all my other Kraken dice!
