Deep in the Lair Peach Tea recipe brought to you by Kraken Dice

  • 3 Twelve piece Kraken dice Peach Tea dice sets*
  • 5 cups water, divided (you'll also need more water to fill the pitcher)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar + more if more sweetness is desired
  • zest of 1 lemon (optional)
  • 2-3 family-size tea bags (I normally use 3)

  1. In a large saucepan, add Kraken dice Peach Tea dice sets*, 2 cups water, 2 cups sugar and lemon zest if using.
  2. Bring to a light simmer and simmer covered until peaches are soft and the peach skins has lost it's dark peachy color, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. With a potato masher, mash the peaches to release more of the juice and continue simmering for about 10 more minutes.
  4. Strain the peach mixture through a mesh strainer and discard the solids. (You'll have about 3 to 3½ cups of peach syrup) Set aside.
  5. Boil 3 cups of water.
  6. Place tea bags in water and let them steep for about 10-15 minutes and then discard tea bags.
  7. Add tea to a large pitcher, stir in the peach syrup, gradually add in water a cup at a time. (Be sure to taste the mixture as you increase the water until you find your perfect sweetness preference.)
  8. If you find that your tea is not sweet enough add in ½ to ¾ cup of sugar. If it's too sweet increase the water(please note the sweetness will increase as it sits in the fridge)
  9. Refrigerate until cold.
  10. Stir before serving and pour over Kraken dice Peach Tea dice sets* and ice to serve.
  11. Garnish with mint and fresh peach slices if desired.

*For actual Peach Tea substitute Kraken Dice Peach Tea dice set with 3 to 4 large fresh peaches, diced into small slices or cubes

Please note that as these dice are a blend of colors and pearlescence meaning each set will be unique and have differential color displays based on, production, pigment settling, and lighting.

    One of my new favourites

Posted by Amanda Swartzentruber on Jun 5th 2019

A lot of my dice are colder colours and I was looking for some warm ones. I know the swirly pearly sets (Kelpie, Butter Y'all etc.) are really popular and liked the pictures so I decided to order them. I am so glad I did.

They are lighter than I thought they would be in a good way and I adore the look of the swirls in them. Might replace ruby black magick as my main DMing dice.

    My first Kraken Originals

Posted by Lisa C on May 27th 2019

Peach Tea was the first set of Kraken Originals I got my hands on. I fell in love with the photos of them and the translucent swirls in this set and had to have them. They are an almost orange peach color and will always have a special place in my dice box no matter how many sets I hoard.

    Just Peachy

I love love love these. The color is the perfect peachy balance between pink and orange, and I love the shimmer vapors.

    Peach Tea

Posted by Jessica Freedman on Mar 23rd 2019

Kraken's Peach Tea dice are dreamy. They're a transparent peachy color with a swirl of shimmery translucent white that plays on the surface and within. Team these with Enlightenment and Iconic White for a perfect summer set.

    Steep These!

Posted by Scott C. on Feb 16th 2019

I was really hyped for this set but ended up slightly disappointed at the lack of and sort of copper or brown hues. The color and translucency are great on their own, but the cloudy wisps match that of other similar sets (Kelpie, Cherry Blossom, etc.) and this set just has a calling to stand out and be a little different. I would say this one is in need of a re-ink to really make it feel like "tea."

Still, the color is unique and I'm very happy with it. It's unique and I'll be looking for the right character to use them with.

Love these. The colour looked like what I expected, and while the pearl swirl I thought I'd love more, I LOVE the feel and size of these dice. They're so light and gorgeous, I can't wait to make them one of my re-ink projects :)

    Peachy Keen

Posted by Alexis on Dec 10th 2018

I chose these dice because I already had enough green and pink in my collection. I was kinda "meh" about them...until they rolled out of their velvet bag! The color is a soft and delicate orange, with ample swirls of pearly white and gold numbers that complement them well. I am so happy I bought these dice! I really think they're the kind that have to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. Top-notch quality, as I've come to expect from Kraken! Thanks for your outstanding products!

I'm More of a Sweet Tea Fan

Posted by Kelisa on Dec 6th 2018

I purchased Peach Tea alongside Butter Y'all and Kelpie prior to Black Friday and was a little disappointed by the set in person. I had hoped that the light amber colour to be slightly darker in hue (though, as the name of this review suggests I hoped for "sweet tea" colour not peach, which this set most certainly delivers). In comparison to Butter Y'all and Kelpie I felt that the white swirls within the dice actually detract, I'm not 100% warm to this set yet.

    Peach tea & Me

Posted by Sarah on Dec 4th 2018

I love peach tea, both the drink and these dice. The shimmer is ok, but it'd be better if the shimmer was dark veins instead, like steeping tea gets.
